Before you write
- Tell us which platform you're on (iOS or Android) and the app version (Settings → About).
- Describe what you expected, what happened, and the steps to reproduce.
- If a specific address is involved, mention it so we can investigate delivery.
What we can't do
For your privacy, we don't store or have access to your real email, name, or phone number. We can't recover an account that has lost all of its passkeys and biometric access — please register a passkey on a second device early so you always have a backup.

How do I create a disposable address?
Open the Address Book tab and tap the orange + button. Pick a generation mode — Name for a memorable word pair, Chars for a random string, or Custom to type your own — then tap the + in the sheet header to create it. Tap the address itself to shuffle a new suggestion.
How does mail forwarding work?
Mail sent to any of your ScillaMail addresses is delivered into the app's inbox. There's nothing to configure on the sender's side — they just see the address you gave them. The app shows incoming messages grouped by the address that received them.
How do I delete or burn an address?
Tap an address in the Address Book, then tap the trash icon. From that moment on, anyone who tries to email that address gets a bounce — they have no way to reach you again. The messages already received remain in your inbox until you delete them.
How do I set up Face ID or Touch ID?
Biometric protection is enabled during onboarding. To toggle it later, open Settings → Security and turn Biometrics on or off. With biometrics on, the app re-locks whenever you background it.
How do passkeys protect my account?
Passkeys let you sign in to ScillaMail on a new device without a password. Register at least one passkey while you have access to your account — go to Settings → Security → Passkeys → Add. We strongly recommend adding a second passkey on a different device as a backup; if you lose every passkey, your inbox cannot be recovered.
Why aren't my notifications arriving?
- Confirm notifications are granted in your device settings for ScillaMail.
- Toggle them off and back on inside Settings → Notifications.
- If the issue persists after a restart, write to us with your platform and app version.
